When you use Chiron, we collect:
- Account information: Email address and name (provided during purchase)
- Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe - we do not store your card details
- Query data: Questions you ask and context about your DAW/plugins to provide relevant answers
- Usage data: Query counts and feature usage to improve the service
- Personalization data: Topics discussed and preferences learned across sessions to provide tailored guidance (e.g., remembering your skill level, plugins you own, and areas of focus)
What We Don't Collect
We explicitly do not collect:
- Your audio files or project files
- Your creative content or compositions
- Screen recordings or screenshots from your DAW
- Information about files on your computer beyond plugin context
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the Chiron service
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send transactional emails (license keys, receipts)
- To respond to support requests
- To analyze usage patterns and improve our AI responses
- To personalize your experience across sessions — Chiron remembers context from previous conversations so it can build on what you've already learned
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Amazon Web Services (SES): Email delivery
- Google Cloud: AI processing and hosting
- Supabase: Database and authentication
Each of these services has their own privacy policy and handles data according to industry standards.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your subscription is active. Query logs are retained for 90 days to improve service quality. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where required for legal or accounting purposes.

Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits. License keys are stored as cryptographic hashes and cannot be recovered - only regenerated.
